UNESA PG-PAUD Lecturer Enhances International Collaboration Through Staff Mobility in Kazakhstan
Surabaya, Wulan Patria Saroinsong, a lecturer in the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) Master’s Program at the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA), participated in a staff mobility program at Abay Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University (AMKU), Kazakhstan. The program lasted for one semester, with one month of face-to-face activities in Kazakhstan and three months conducted online, as part of UNESA’s efforts to strengthen global academic partnerships.
During the program, Wulan served as a guest lecturer in the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology on January 30, 2026, presenting a lecture titled “Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from a Psychological Perspective”. The session was well received by local students and highlighted Wulan’s expertise in educational psychology and student mental health within an international academic context.
In addition to teaching, Wulan engaged in collaborative initiatives between AMKU and UNESA, including planning a double degree program in educational psychology. This collaboration aims to strengthen academic networks and enhance the quality of learning through international partnership.
The staff mobility program aligns with UNESA’s commitment to achieving SDG 4 Quality Education and SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals. The program not only enhances lecturer capacity but also opens opportunities for joint research, knowledge exchange, and global academic collaboration.
During her time in Kazakhstan, Wulan actively participated in joint research with AMKU academics and shared positive experiences about the professional and welcoming academic environment. This activity represents a concrete step in the internationalization of the PAUD study program at UNESA and broadens the perspectives of students and lecturers through global networking.
