PG-PAUD UNESA Participates in Welcoming Ceremony and MoA Visiting Professor FIP

Surabaya, the Faculty of Education (FIP) at Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) held a Welcoming Ceremony & MoA Visiting Professor FIP featuring Prof. Kieroon Sheehy from Open University UK. The event took place on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 10.00 AM in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room, FIP UNESA and was attended by leaders, lecturers, and academic staff within FIP.

The event aimed to strengthen the collaboration between FIP UNESA and Open University UK, particularly through the Visiting Professor FIP program. During the ceremony, both institutions signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) as a formal commitment to academic development, research, and internationalization of study programs within FIP.

Attendees included the Vice Deans of FIP, the Head of Lab School UNESA, the Chair of DIC UNESA, Coordinators of S1, S2, and S3 study programs, the Head of FIP Office, and the FIP Internationalization Team. Prof. Kieroon Sheehy’s presence provided UNESA lecturers and students with global insights and opportunities to strengthen international academic networks.

In his remarks, the Dean of FIP UNESA, Prof. Dr. Mochamad Nursalim, M.Si, expressed appreciation for the event and emphasized the importance of international collaboration to enhance the quality of education, research, and faculty capacity development across PG-PAUD and FIP in general.

Through the Welcoming Ceremony and MoA Visiting Professor program, PG-PAUD UNESA gains strategic opportunities to expand international networks, improve the quality of learning, and prepare both students and lecturers to face global educational challenges. This activity also represents a concrete step by UNESA in supporting the internationalization of higher education.
