Parenting Workshop Strengthens School–Home Collaboration
Recognizing the crucial role of family in early education, a PAUD in Tangerang has organized a parenting workshop to strengthen collaboration between teachers and parents. The event focused on effective communication, positive discipline, and emotional support for children. It aimed to help parents understand that learning doesn’t stop at school — it continues at home.
During the workshop, child psychologists and teachers discussed common parenting challenges, such as managing tantrums, encouraging independence, and balancing play with screen time. Parents shared their experiences and learned practical strategies through group discussions and role-playing.
The school emphasized the importance of consistency between home and classroom environments. Teachers explained how parents can reinforce learning by reading stories together, giving children responsibilities, and using praise instead of punishment. These methods build trust and motivation, essential for children’s healthy development.
The workshop also provided a platform for parents to build stronger relationships with teachers. By understanding each child’s personality and needs, both parties can collaborate more effectively. Many parents expressed appreciation for the open dialogue and planned to maintain regular communication.
Through this initiative, the PAUD successfully bridged the gap between school and home. Teachers hope that future sessions will continue empowering parents as active partners in education, ensuring that every child receives consistent care, guidance, and love.
