Strengthening Literacy, Confidence, and English Vocabulary Through Interactive Learning at Program AKSARA
On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the second learning session of the AKSARA Program was successfully conducted at Sanggar Merah Merdeka Unit Tales Wonokromo. The activity began with a collective prayer and an ice-breaking session to create a fun, comfortable, and conducive learning environment for all participants.
In Akar B Class, students received reinforcement of the previously introduced “Four Magic Words” and participated in lessons covering the alphabet (A–Z), vowel letters, uppercase letters, and lowercase letters. To build their confidence and public speaking skills, the children were also given opportunities to come to the front of the classroom and participate actively in learning activities. The students showed enthusiasm and gradually became more confident in expressing themselves during the lesson.
Meanwhile, in Tunas A Class, participants reviewed the material learned in the previous meeting and completed student worksheets (LKPD) containing short stories and simple everyday situations. These activities were designed to help children practice using polite expressions appropriately in different contexts. Through discussion and guided exercises, the students demonstrated a growing understanding of the importance of respectful communication in their daily lives.
In Dahlia Class, the learning activities focused on introducing and expanding English vocabulary through interactive quizzes supported by technology-based learning media. The use of digital tools created a more engaging learning atmosphere, encouraging students to participate actively and enthusiastically throughout the session. The students appeared motivated and eager to answer questions while improving their English language skills.
Overall, the learning activities were carried out successfully, and the participants demonstrated a good understanding of the materials presented. The session concluded with an evaluation of the learning outcomes, appreciation for the students’ efforts and achievements, a collective prayer, and a closing greeting. Through this activity, students were able to strengthen their literacy skills, enhance their confidence, and expand their English vocabulary in an enjoyable and supportive learning environment.
