UNESA Teaching Practitioner Program Strengthens Students’ Understanding of Kindergarten Management
The Teaching Practitioner program at Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) continues to support the integration of academic learning with professional practice in the Early Childhood Education Study Program. In this session, the program focused on Kindergarten Management, a crucial aspect of ensuring effective and sustainable early childhood education institutions.
The session featured Emy Darminingsih, an Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher at TK Negeri Pembina Surabaya, as the invited teaching practitioner. With extensive experience in managing early childhood education institutions, she shared practical insights into the planning, organization, and implementation of kindergarten management aligned with national education standards.
During the session, Emy Darminingsih emphasized the importance of effective management in supporting quality learning environments for young children. She discussed key aspects of kindergarten management, including curriculum planning, classroom organization, human resource management, and collaboration with parents and stakeholders. These elements, she explained, play a vital role in ensuring that early childhood education institutions operate effectively and responsibly.
The Teaching Practitioner activity was conducted through interactive discussions and experience-based sharing. Students were encouraged to ask questions and reflect on real challenges faced in managing kindergarten institutions, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of administrative and leadership roles within early childhood education settings.
Through the Teaching Practitioner program, Universitas Negeri Surabaya reaffirms its commitment to delivering contextual, practice-oriented learning experiences. Collaboration with experienced practitioners is expected to enhance students’ managerial competence and prepare them to become professional educators and leaders in early childhood education institutions.
