UNESA Hosts Visiting Lecturer on Early Childhood Learning Material Development
Surabaya, April 22, 2025 — The Early Childhood Teacher Education (PG-PAUD) Program at the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA), held a Visiting Lecturer session to enrich students’ academic insights. The event, titled “Early Childhood Education Learning Material Development,” took place on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Room O6.01.25, Building O6, UNESA Campus.
The session featured a special guest from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia:
🎙️ Nuriman, an expert in curriculum development and early childhood education.
The event was coordinated and moderated by:
🎙️ Melia Dwi Widayanti, M.Pd., Course Lecturer, PGPAUD UNESA.
In this session, Mr. Nuriman shared comprehensive knowledge about the latest approaches to designing learning materials tailored to the developmental needs of young children. Students were guided to understand how to create instructional content that is not only visually engaging but also supports holistic growth in cognitive, language, and socio-emotional domains.
According to Ms. Widayanti, this activity is part of the PGPAUD Program’s initiative to strengthen the pedagogical competence of future early childhood educators. “Collaborations like this broaden our students’ perspective in designing meaningful and context-based learning materials,” she noted.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where students had the opportunity to present their own material designs and receive constructive feedback from both academic and field experts.
This Visiting Lecturer program is a regular academic agenda in the PGPAUD UNESA curriculum, aiming to enhance instructional quality and foster inter-university academic networks.
