The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Study Program of Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) conducted a Teaching Practitioner activity as part of the Daycare (TPA) Management course. This activity aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of managing daycare services for young children.
The Teaching Practitioner session featured Any Rohmawati, an Early Childhood Education teacher at TK At Taqwa Surabaya, as the guest speaker. The practitioner shared experiences related to the management of daycare programs and services.
During the session, students learned about various aspects of daycare management, including program planning, daily routines, caregiver roles, administrative management, and ensuring children’s safety and well-being. The speaker emphasized the importance of professionalism and collaboration in daycare management.
Through this activity, students were able to understand the complexity of managing daycare institutions and the responsibilities involved. The discussion encouraged students to view daycare management as an integral part of early childhood education services.
The Teaching Practitioner activity is expected to prepare students for professional roles in managing and developing quality daycare institutions.
