UNESA and AMKU Kazakhstan Collaborate on International Guest Lecture: “Resilience through Mindfulness”
Surabaya, March 11, 2025 — Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) proudly partnered with Abay Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University (AMKU), Kazakhstan, in an international Guest Lecture titled “Resilience through Mindfulness.” The online session was held via Zoom on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 12 PM (Western Indonesian Time) / 2 PM (Astana Time).
The event featured two distinguished speakers from UNESA:
🎤 Prof. Dr. Mochamad Nursalim, M.Si.
🎤 Wulan Patria Saroinsong, S.Psi., M.Pd., Ph.D.
Their lectures explored how mindfulness practices can effectively build mental resilience, especially in the face of increasing global challenges. The session welcomed students and faculty members from both UNESA and AMKU, serving as a meaningful step toward strengthening academic collaboration between the two institutions.
In her session, Dr. Saroinsong highlighted the value of mindfulness in daily life:
"With awareness and inner calm, we can train our minds to face life’s challenges more positively. That’s the essence of resilience through mindfulness," she said.
This initiative is part of UNESA’s internationalization agenda, promoting cross-cultural academic exchange and paving the way for future research collaborations in the fields of psychology, education, and character development.
