The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Study Program of Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) conducted a Teaching Practitioner activity as part of the course Development of Teaching Materials. This activity was designed to provide students with practical knowledge related to the design and use of teaching materials in early childhood education.
The session featured Kholifatur Rosidah, S.Pd, an Early Childhood Education teacher at TK Labschool UNESA 1 Surabaya, as the guest speaker. The speaker shared experiences in developing creative, engaging, and developmentally appropriate teaching materials to support children’s learning through play-based activities.
Through this activity, students gained valuable insights into the process of selecting, designing, and utilizing teaching materials that align with learning objectives and children’s developmental stages. The Teaching Practitioner activity supported students in linking theoretical understanding with practical classroom applications.
This activity is expected to strengthen students’ skills in developing effective teaching materials and prepare them to become innovative early childhood educators.
