Title: Character Building and Basic Sexual Education Session for Children
On the second meeting of the community service program, the learning activities focused on basic sexual education, character development, and self-awareness tailored to the children's age and developmental stage. The purpose of this activity was to provide children with fundamental knowledge about recognizing themselves, understanding personal body boundaries, and learning to respect themselves and others from an early age. The session was conducted using a child-friendly approach with simple language, ensuring that the children felt comfortable and engaged throughout the learning process.
The activity began with an ice-breaking session to build enthusiasm and create a positive learning atmosphere. Afterward, the children watched an educational video explaining private body areas and appropriate and inappropriate behaviors. The video was designed with attractive visuals and simple language, making it easy for the children to understand the concepts being introduced.
Following the video presentation, the facilitators provided additional explanations using clear and communicative language. The children were encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts about the topics discussed. A light discussion session was then conducted, during which the facilitators asked simple questions about examples of good and bad behavior in everyday life. This activity aimed to develop the children’s critical thinking skills and confidence in expressing their opinions.
To strengthen their understanding, the session continued with a role-playing activity. The children were asked to act out various situations, such as how to respond when someone violates their personal boundaries. Through this practical activity, the children were able to understand the concepts more concretely and apply them to real-life situations.
This second meeting was highly valuable as it helped children develop self-awareness and learn essential self-protection skills from an early age. At the end of the session, the facilitators summarized the key points of the lesson, and the activity concluded with a closing prayer and greetings.
