Fun Learning Activities on Fruits, Plants, Basic Counting, and Line-Tracing at Sanggar Merah Merdeka Unit Lebak
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, a learning activity was conducted at Sanggar Merah Merdeka Unit Lebak by Alif Miftakhul Jannah (25010684200), Firda Ayu Amanda (25010684134), Chevilla Azra Ayuningtyas (25010684014), and Irma Ayu Nur Affirda (25010684016). The learning activities were designed to be enjoyable and interactive, allowing children to learn while playing.
During the opening session, the children were introduced to various types of fruits and plants through colorful picture media and simple teaching aids. The participants showed great enthusiasm as they mentioned their favorite fruits and identified differences in shapes and colors. The facilitators also provided brief explanations about the benefits of fruits and plants for health, helping the children not only recognize them but also understand the importance of consuming healthy foods from an early age.
The activities continued with basic counting exercises tailored to each educational level. For the Bibit and Akar classes, children were introduced to numbers through games involving counting objects around them. Meanwhile, students in the Tunas to Dahlia classes were given more challenging tasks, such as simple addition exercises and grouping objects according to specific quantities. These activities aimed to develop cognitive skills and improve concentration.
Line-tracing activities also became one of the most engaging parts of the learning session. The children were asked to connect pictures of fruits with their corresponding names or trace lines following specific patterns. This activity not only helped develop fine motor skills but also enhanced hand-eye coordination. The facilitators patiently guided each child, especially those who still needed assistance in following instructions.
Throughout the session, the learning environment remained active, lively, and full of enthusiasm. The children interacted with one another, asked questions, and eagerly completed the assigned tasks. Youth volunteers from Sanggar Merah Merdeka, together with students from the Early Childhood Education Program (PG-PAUD) of Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA), played an important role in creating a supportive and comfortable learning atmosphere. They continuously motivated and appreciated the children for their efforts and achievements.
Through the implementation of this activity, it is expected that children's basic abilities will improve in cognitive, motor, and social aspects. Furthermore, the program serves as a means of fostering a love for learning from an early age through enjoyable and engaging methods. Sanggar Merah Merdeka Unit Lebak remains committed to providing educational activities that contribute positively to the development of children across various educational levels.
