On Sunday, May 24, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the third week of the volunteer teaching program was successfully conducted. The learning activities focused on developing children's understanding of self-identity, introducing various professions, and improving their English communication skills through interactive and engaging learning experiences.
The session began with the children independently completing their student worksheets under the guidance and supervision of the volunteer teachers. The worksheets were designed to encourage active participation while allowing the children to practice their literacy and comprehension skills.
The learning materials included topics related to self-identity, career recognition, and coloring profession-themed illustrations. Through these activities, the children were introduced to different occupations found in their community, helping them broaden their knowledge about the roles and responsibilities of various professionals.
As part of the English learning session, the worksheets incorporated simple and age-appropriate English vocabulary and basic sentence patterns. The children practiced expressions such as “My name is…”, “I live in…”, and other basic phrases related to personal identity. These activities aimed to introduce English in a fun and accessible way while helping children develop their foundational language skills.
After completing the worksheets and coloring activities, each child was invited to present their work in front of the class. They took turns reading their answers and sharing information about themselves with their classmates and teachers.
The presentation activity primarily focused on introducing their personal identities. This exercise was designed to enhance the children’s self-confidence, public speaking abilities, and communication skills. By speaking in front of an audience, the children learned to express themselves clearly, overcome shyness, and develop the courage to communicate their ideas and personal information.
Throughout the presentations, the volunteers provided encouragement and positive feedback, creating a supportive environment that helped the children feel comfortable and motivated. Many participants showed enthusiasm and pride when presenting their work, demonstrating increased confidence compared to previous sessions.
After all learning activities had been completed, the program concluded with an ice-breaking session that created a cheerful and enjoyable atmosphere. The children participated enthusiastically in fun games and interactive activities that helped them relax and celebrate the completion of the lesson.
The session was then closed with a group prayer, marking the end of the third-week learning activities.
Overall, the program was successfully implemented and provided meaningful learning experiences for the children. Through activities focused on self-identity, career exploration, English language introduction, and public speaking practice, the participants were able to develop their knowledge, confidence, communication abilities, and social skills in a supportive and enjoyable learning environment.
